As a retired Naval Officer with 20+ years of service, one aspect of my work I miss is helping others assess their environment, recognize their strengths, identify potential pitfalls, and move out smartly with intention toward their desired outcomes . I learned well that no matter a person's rank or grade, they can often use a hand navigating the challenges of life.
...and a life in a military uniform was never short of challenges.
Today, I still value investing in clients via the skills gained in uniform. Providing clients a structured approach to thinking through life's opportunities and applying the basic principles of military planning, I work to walk alongside my clients the same way I did my uniformed brothers and sisters....helping them confidently navigate the often turbulent estuaries of life and a career.
I have learned more from being a husband and a father than from any other parts of my life. My family continues to help me grow and learn. Navigating each day includes focusing on what you value and prioritizing those aspects of your life's journey.
Although I retired a Naval Officer, I began my career as an enlisted Sailor. I highly value having gained from both experiences. After two decades of taking pride in contributing to something larger than myself, it is hard for me to imagine not continuing down a similar path. Today, I also work as a Department of Defense civilian.
I believe contentment is found by navigating life as a multi-dimensional person with authentic relationships. My life would not be nearly as fulfilling without the friends with whom I walk this life....and who choose to let me walk beside them. Whether barreling down a hill on mountain bikes, enjoying an incredible whiskey, or celebratin
